Leather Acrylics on Leather Phone Case - 2020
Size: Phone case-sized
Available: No
I like to paint on everything I can get my hands on. I have painted clothing, furniture and more. A phone case is a small thing to paint and it's a lot like doing a miniature canvas. While I think painted phone cases look great there is one problem and that is the amount of time they are used. Even with a strong varnish the fat from human hands and a constant attention makes it so the paint fades quite quickly. They wear down very quickly.
Acrylics on Wooden Guitar - 2019
Size: Guitar-sized
Available: No
An old family heirloom, the guitar eventually came to my possession from my grandmother since no one else used it or played. It was slightly broken and missing two strings, I brought it down with me to Gothenburg when I moved there. I eventually took it to a guitar smith and asked him to remove the frets from it and repair it. He thought it was unusual and it was the first time in his long career he had received this request, nonetheless he complied. Some weeks later it was said and done and I brought it back to my place to paint it.
During a special evening under the guise of the full moon I set to paint it and finished it. Summoned by the wine, a Dionysian and Pan-like figure possessed the instrument. Inscribed in paint, on the back of the guitar is a poem dedicated to the instrument itself and my grandmother.
Acrylics on Hardcover - 2019

I consider myself "self-taught", but truth is I am not. Most I know I have been taught by people I have painted with, not by them teaching me directly but because there is a lot to learn just by observing and also being in the presence of others creating. I am eternally grateful for the people I have met and who have consciously or unconsciously helped me improve my work. I have spent many evenings, days and moments painting with others, each working on their own or collaborating on a common canvas and these gatherings have taught me more about my art and myself than any amount of time in a classroom ever has and ever will. One such meeting was with a friend in Norway and at one point I painted her sketchbook cover.
Acrylics on Wood - 2023
Size: Bureau Sized
Available: No
My first time painting furniture, I am not a stranger to other shapes than square and round canvases. I have painted several jackets, coats and walls, and the bureau fall somewhere in-between these two. Clothes are interesting to me because of their shapes, you have to really work around it and try to make the most out of it. Walls are great because they're so big and offer so much space to paint on, because of this however they may also be quite daunting. The bureau offered both a large space to paint as well as an unusual shape.
The bureau is an piece of furniture my parents had when I was a youngling, I eventually refurbished it and repainted it, replacing the old handles with new ones. I had this idea that I had a limited set of colours I wanted to work with, turqoise, pink and green. Emulating the colours the sky takes on here in the north sometimes with aurora borealis trailing across the heavens.
